September Luthiers Meeting

I will be demonstrating two techniques that I want share. Several people have asked about them. I figured others may want to know as well.
1. Make a side template for a Manzer wedge. I find a side template helps reduce the time needed to make a wedge body.
2. Cut a scarf joint for a fan fret guitar. Most fan fret guitars have a Fender style head stock because of the angled nut. It’s hard to cut an angled head stock unless you know the trick. I’ll show you how.
