Wondering if one of your members could use African mahogany wood (also called ovangkol, or Guibourtia ehio). It’s several hundred pounds’ worth of solid wood – not veneer – in a living-room set, custom hand-crafted by Marlau of Madrid in the late ’60s. Sofa is 8.25-foot, two chairs (all three pieces are solid wood surrounding three sides), 2 large end tables, solid wood all sides, coffee table w/doors, pillars. Craftsman could create something new, or update upholstery (in good condition) for resale. (We are selling to move father to assisted living – I live in a small condo – heartbreaking.)
