Guild In School Programs
Preserving the Craft of Woodworking
We strengthen our commitment to keep craftsmanship relevant and provide hands-on learning opportunities for future generations through the Guild in Schools program, created in collaboration with the New England Association of Woodshop Teachers (NEAWT), an official subgroup of the Guild.
NEAWT is a peer-driven organization that supports woodworking education through collaboration, resource sharing, and mentorship in the community of woodworking teachers. In 2024, NEAWT became an official Subgroup of the Guild and partnered with us to create a new program called “Guild in Schools,” providing access to mentorship, equipment, and grants.

The GNHW partnership I have enjoyed over my twelve-year tenure as the woodshop instructor at Pinkerton Academy has been instrumental to the success of my program. For me GIS is a natural progression of mentorship, maintenance support and networking that allows me to keep craftsmanship relevant and accessible in the classroom.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in organizing this program. It is a wonderful initiative that allows young men and women to learn from such talented individuals. Thank you once again for facilitating this invaluable experience.
