DESCRIPTION:The topic for this session of the Woodworking Fundamentals Group will be sledding. No\, THAT kind of sledding will unfortunately be gone by April! However\, Bob will take us on a shop journey to learn how to build sleds\, for the table saw and other machinery. He will cover material choices\, guides\, and squaring the fence to the particular machine.  \nIf time allows a shooting board and other helpful shop devices may be discussed. \nSo come sledding with your fellow dust and chip makers and get a chance at a door prize and some tasty morsels! \nIf you have suggestions on topics you would like to see\, please send an email with a brief description to doobbuyer@gmail.com and Bob will do his best to accommodate them in future meetings.

SUMMARY:Woodworking Fundamentals Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In this meeting Bob will be covering different shop tips and skills that will help increase your accuracy and efficiency in the shop. A few of the tips Bob will show will be various stops to make like parts\, jigs to cut circles\, and clamping techniques for gluing your work square. In addition\, if there are other topics raised at the meeting Bob will do his best to cover those. \n  \nSometimes it is the trivial things that have a significant impact on your project. This meeting might just give you the “Ah Ha” moment that will make your next project sing! So come and enjoy the warmth of the wood stove\, revel in Bob’s honestly dry sense of humor\, and as a bonus you will be entered to win a door prize! SUMMARY:Woodworking Fundamentals - Fitting Drawers
DESCRIPTION:In this meeting Bob will be demonstrating different methods for fitting drawers and as always will try to answer any questions that pertain to woodworking.  \nThe first method for fitting the drawers will be using the runner and kicker. This is a traditional technique involving planning the sides of the drawer to fit the interior of the casework until you get the correct glide. \nThe second method will be fitting drawers on wooden runners. The drawer is planed to fit the interior of the cabinet but runs on wooden runners routed into the cabinet side. \nThe last method will be similar to the second\, only the wooden slide is in two parts\, the first attached to the cabinet interior and the second attached to the drawer via grooves or screws. \nCome and have a rewarding learning experience seeing the process of fitting your drawers. Enjoy the warmth of the wood stove\, Bob’s engaging sense of humor and have the opportunity to win a door prize!
