Top bulb is a three way LED light\nThe Shade is constructed with 504 segments and measures 14” diameter at the bottom and 7” at the top\nOverall finished height is 29 ½”

DESCRIPTION:Mark Leonard has graciously agreed to teach a hands on introduction to chip carving! Chip carving is a unique style of carving  using geometric patterns or freeform designs to embellish flat surfaces .   Mark will supply layouts and wood for this class. Attendees are only required to provide their own chip carving knives.

SUMMARY:Sharpening Workshop\, Afternoon
DESCRIPTION:Our October meeting will be our third annual Sharpening Workshop. Bring your turning tools and sharpen them yourself with help from our team. We will have CBN grinders\, a conventional vitreous grinder\, and a belt grinder setup for use. You will describe what you want to achieve with your gouges\, what your specific needs are\, and then sharpen your tools to meet your needs. Lathes will also be available so you can test your newly ground tools. \nTo best match sharpeners with mentors\, there will be two sessions. This is the afternoon session from 1300 till 1600. This will be the same as the morning session which precedes it. For those attending both sessions\, please bring a brownbag lunch. \nPlease bring a chair to sit in when you are not actively sharpening. Coffee and donuts will be available.
