Tablesaw Splitter

Question

I have a splitter on my tablesaw that is bent. It is made of spring steel. Recommendations on how to straighten.—John Watson

Answer

Bob Oswald replies: My first reaction is to replace it. These things are not that expensive and messing around with a safety device like this, especially running the risk of stressing the metal, probably isn’t worth it. Of course if finding a replacement is a challenge, head back to the tool manufacturer.
