Glue for Segmented Vessels

Question

What are appropriate choices for adhesives used in segmented vessels?—Richard Davis

Answer

Claude Dupuis replies: I have had great success with yellow glue. I’m using titebond original and have not had any issues. If you are using oily woods like ebony, it’s advisable to glue off a fresh cut or sanding. Otherwise clean the parts with denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner to remove any oils.
