Mike Souter
Goblets Two Different Ways
Mike will be turning a conventional goblet, showing how to prep the blank, and turn a tenon to be held in a chuck. He will then show a couple different ways to shape and hollow the bowl part. Then he will move on to finish the stem and base adding a captive ring or two. Finally the goblet will be parted off and reversed onto a jam chuck to finish the bottom. After the normal goblet is completed he will use some of the same techniques to turn a natural edge goblet adding a couple tricks to turn and keep the bark on the rim.
