Dan Faia has been a professional woodcarver, cabinetmaker and chairmaker since 1994. He is a graduate of North Bennet Street School (NBSS) in Boston, and operates his own woodworking studio and small group workshop program in Rollinsford, New Hampshire. In addition, he is the department head of the full-time cabinet and furniture making program at NBSS. Dan is also a frequent contributor to Fine Woodworking magazine. Through the years, he has participated in lectures, demonstrations, and symposiums for organizations such as Museum of Fine Arts-Boston, Colonial Williamsburg, Concord Museum, The Old Manse, The Furniture Society, and Guild of NH Woodworkers. Samples and video demonstrations of Dan’s woodcarving are currently on display at the Museum of Fine Arts-Boston in the Art of the Americas wing.
